The Verizon iPhone is real and it's here.
Apple and Verizon finally delivered the long-awaited Verizon iPhone 4. The question "When is the iPhone coming to Verizon? has already been replaced with "When will we see the iPhone 5?" With so many people anxious to get their hands on this phone, you'd think there would be a lot more differences between it and the AT&T model. There are not. That's okay, it's actually entertaining to carefully pull open all the packaging, take a real close look and try and spot all that's changed. When that fails, we simply grab an AT&T iPhone and put it right next to the new Verizon iPhone. Now those subtle changes are much easier to spot.
Verizon iPhone BoxThere's virtually no indication on the box that this Apple iPhone is something different.
An Apple iPhone from VerizonTurn the box around and you can tell, if you look closely, it's a Verizon iPhone.
Inside the Verizon iPhone BoxOpen the box and you find a familiar-looking phone.
Verizon iPhone CablesApple always packages all the cables so neatly.
First Look at the Verizon iPhone InterfaceYup, it looks almost exactly like the AT&T iPhone except for that tell-tale sign in the upper left hand corner.
Compare with the iPhone AT&TFor the sake of comparison, here's what our AT&T interface looks like.
Comparing the Verizon iPhone and the AT&T ModelAT&T's iPhone is on the left, the Verizon iPhone is on the right. No real differences.
Looking at the Two iPhones from the SideAh, the first real differences between the phones. AT&T is on the left and Verizon is on the right. Note that there's only a single break in the antenna band on the Verizon iPhone. Also, you'll see that while there's a removable slot cover for the AT&T SIM card, the Verizon iPhone has no such slot.
Verizon iPhone and AT&T iPhone ButtonsThe buttons between the two iPhone look the same, but Apple moved the Verizon ones (on the right) just a bit.
Personal HotspotThe new Verizon iPhone can act as a personal hotspot--a trick the AT&T iPhone cannot match.
and that's about it...
